Tiny Telelgraph July 2016
Tiny Box Company

In our July Issue we give you a sneak peek into some of the things we have been doing alongside Young Enterprise, we present our new shoulder range and give you a peek into our new services.

Tiny Box & Young Enterprise

This month we decided to give back what we could, a brilliant concept for the children of today.

What is Young Enterprise?

Young Enterprise is the UK’s leading charity that empowers young people to harness their personal and business skills.

They make business relevant to the daily lives of young people. The programmes spark their energy and enthusiasm, helping them to discover their individual talents and achieve what they thought was impossible. They offer practical programmes, from one day masterclasses to year-long projects to help young people develop skills they cannot learn from a textbook.

Back to school! - The Fiver Challenge

"On Tuesday the 14th of June Rachel visited the year five class at Blackwell primary school to impart her business skills and knowledge to 31 eager 9 and 10 year olds. The children are taking part in the fiver challenge initiative set up by Young Enterprises to help children have an understanding of the value of money and how a business works. The initiative works by giving each child £5 and they have to work together in small groups to create a business that will create a profit. The children then give the initial start-up cost of £5 back and keep the profits to use on something in class; such as resources, a trip or donate it to charity.
Rachel was quizzed on her business ideas, her process and about her time on Dragons Den! She then listened to the children’s business pitches before giving her opinion on which businesses she thinks will be the most successful.

After Rachel left, the children worked hard to build up their business plans, work on promotion and advertising and took a trip into East Grinstead to buy stock for their stalls before setting up and selling. Many valuable lessons have been learnt and the children loved having Rachel to talk to and gain real ideas and experience from.
So far their total profits minus their start-up fee of £5 per child is £136.70" - Caroline Jefferis Blackwell Primary School
Why not consider getting involved? Check out their site to find out how.

A few days later Pinpoint Tech Marketing who are working closely with the project approahed us requesting we donate personalised packaging for their event. They have been asked to attend London Finals with their school Sutton Grammar School. We are so excited to be able to donate the packaging and help the cause even further and to give the youth of today the biggest foot up as we can.
Considering getting branding done with Tiny Box?
