Digital bag printing
Bertha is BIG and has come all the way from the Netherlands to bring full colour printing to our gift bags; it can print up to 3,000 bags an hour in stunning full colour, with a blazing print speed of up to 18 inches per second (or 27 metres a minute), and boasting a print area width of 11.7 inches (or 297mm).
This very, very impressive machine is not only big and powerful, it also utilises water-based inks. What does that mean? Well, it ensures an eco-friendly printing process (we also love everything eco-friendly!), free from toxic chemicals and with no odours. (More specifically, it’s pigmented aqueous inks, with four individual CMYK cartridges. Its high resolution mode is 1200 x 1200 optimised dpi from 600 x 600 input dpi, and its production mode is 600 x 1200 optimised dpi from 300 x 300 input dpi.)

Hang on, what is digital printing?
Digital printing is a cutting-edge method that uses ink to produce high-quality prints with vibrant colours and fine details. Unlike foil printing, which is limited to one colour, digital printing offers full colour - with the option for photo printing too!
