Shredded paper void fill is ideal for preventing fragile goods from getting damaged in transit due to its ability to fit into small spaces, as well as storage due to its ability to be compressed.

Each paper shred is approximately 4mm wide and made from 80gsm recycled paper, supplied in one or five kilo boxes so you'll have plenty to keep your stock or your stock going for a while. This paper is completely reusable and is an ideal way to quickly add or pad your stock or gifts, and can simply be recycled or composted once no longer needed. The dyes used to colour our shredded paper is entirely natural and uses plant-based inks to make colours and protect the paper and environment even in its disposal.

By choosing to use recycled shredded paper, you can reduce your business' environmental impact, cut costs, and provide a great degree of protection for your products during shipping. It's a versatile and sustainable material for businesses looking to make a positive impact on the environment.

Our range of zig-zag shredded paper is a unique way to protect your items as, due to it's zig-zag shaped strips, it's able to spring and form around your items creating a bouncy, cushioned environment in order to keep your products safe and sound.

Shredded paper is available in a great range of colour options, or in natural kraft brown paper so that this time you can match the colours of the paper to colours that suit your brand.

How to use shredded paper for a gift packaging filler

Shredded paper for gift boxes, gift bags and party bags can be a great, fun, easy and effective way to secure your items, here are some steps of how to help make sure that your parcel arrives safely:

  • Start with appropriately sized boxes, gift bags, party bags, or hampers. Remember, as well as being less wasteful, it'll keep your items more secure if there is less room around your items. Remember to add a couple of centimetres around the outside of your items so that you can still add some cushioning!
  • Place a good layer of shredded paper at the bottom of your boxes or gift bags, making sure to fill all the corners. The actual depth will vary but aim to not be able to see the bottom of the container anymore and then add some more. Because our zig zag shredded paper is naturally springy, it will compress a little so for shipping heavy or fragile items it's better to add a little extra to be safe.
  • Place your item(s) inside and add extra paper shreds around the edges to get a fairly snug fit to avoid things rattling about.
  • Cover in a top layer of shredded paper. Like the bottom, this layer should be fairly thick for shipping. Aim for the paper to sit slightly proud of the lid of the box so that it compresses as the lid is closed.

    • Being made from 100% natural materials, our shredded paper is 100% biodegradable and suitable for home composting, leaving no toxins. Simply mix with the rest of your compostable waste and pop in your home or commercial recycling bin.
  • Vegan
    • Our shredded paper is 100% free of any form of animal products, ensuring a cruelty-free and more environmentally sound product.
  • PH Neutral
    • Our shredded paper is completely PH neutral, meaning it is neither acidic or alkaline. This is important for packaging goods that tarnish easily like jewellery, clothing or artwork.
