Trending Summer Colours for 2023

2023 is bright, tropical and 90s. We explain why we’ve chosen this summer’s colour palette and why it looks suspiciously like the high street fashion you’re seeing everywhere.

Top colours for 2023

  • Magenta Pink
  • Bright Yellow
  • Rusty Orange
  • Pillarbox Red
  • Lime Green
  • Azure Blue

Magenta Pink

Every year the ultimate colour gurus at Pantone launch their “colour of the year” and it immediately makes its way into products and fashion all over the globe. Pantone’s colour of the year 2023 is Viva Magenta - a fabulously bright and warm colour that hints at summer blooms and of course this year’s most anticipated movie - Barbie!

Bright Yellow

Speaking of day trips to the beach, this bright yellow brings thoughts of sunflowers, sunshine and zesty lemons in your iced water.

Yellow is an optimistic colour and catwalks have been full of this bright colour trending towards autumn too.

Rusty Orange

Bring bright colours right down to earth with burnt or rusty orange. Tangerine has also been on the must-have list for fashion buyers with high street shop windows full of bright primary and secondary colours.

Pillarbox Red

In their 22/23 colour report, Pantone describes this as a “lava” red full of passion. This is a strong, primary statement colour which works across seasons. The word is this fiery red will be a key colour for autumn and reaching into winter.

Lime Green

It wouldn’t be a trip to the 90’s without lime green. 90’s fashion, style, even TV shows have been making a comeback and lime green isn’t being left behind. The exotic green gives us rainforest vibes.

Azure Blue

What better colour to contrast with pink but it's colour opposite, blue! From the mediterranean sea to cloudless skies this colour exudes long days at the beach.
