Waste is a hot topic right now.
We are all becoming increasingly more aware of the effect of what our buying choices have on the environment. Consumers are trying their hardest to reduce their waste and with positive new start ups springing up such as zero waste businesses, changes are being made slowly but surely. However, there needs to be change beyond this so where does the responsibility lay and more importantly, Whose Waste is it Anyway?
Join us for a day of informative talks and engaging insights from thought leaders into this trending topic.
We will also be having a selection of local eco-friendly businesses setting up their own market stalls available to talk about their innovative businesses.
Rachel Watkyn, Tiny Box Company founder and Managing Director says, “Our recent Green Business win at Lewes Business Awards was a real accolade to our relentless efforts at being an eco-friendly company, however, it does not stop there for us. We decided to put on an event to talk about the waste cycle from manufacturer to consumer. As well as this, it is also an opportunity for businesses and consumers to really get to grips with this pressing issue and make a difference.”
The speaker lineup for the event is as follows:
Cat Fletcher - Freegle
Charlotte & Thalassa - Charlotte's Cupboard
Carrie Cort - Sussex Green Living
Peter Desmond - B&H Cicular Economy Business Club
The eco businesses attending include:
The Real Junk Food Project
This is a not for profit event with a focus on raising awareness and making a difference!
