The products in our luxury jewellery gift box range are made from thick, sturdy boxboard, and generally have a higher micron value than the boxes in our essentials range. What's a micron? Good question - also known as micrometres, microns measure the thickness of a box. One micron is equal to one-thousandth of a millimetre, so 1,000 microns = 1 mm.

We also use gsm (grams per square metre) - this refers to the weight of the paper or card, and while microns and gsm are not directly correlated, the two are often linked.
